This is an early morning picture taken from the fishing village of Ferryden by Montrose Angus Scotland looking out along the South Esk River to the North Sea.
Ferryden has
now become a base for supply ships for North Sea oil rigs and was
and still remains a popular location for salmon fishermen.
Ferryden is a
good base for visiting historical cities such as Dundee Arbroath
with its links to Scottish history and Royal Deeside.
On this
coastline there are many miles of unspoiled beaches and nature
reserves, this makes for an ideal habitat for a very diverse
wildlife population and consequently attracts bird and nature lovers
from all over Europe.
Ferryden and
the surrounding area have been visited by our family several times a
year for the last forty years.
